Section A 1.a

Describe and evaluate your skills development over the course of your production work from Foundation Portfolio to Advanced Production in relation to creativity

My preliminary exercise allowed me to create a short, simple and prescribed video which consisted of simple camera angles, such as establishing shots, panning shots, two person shots, reaction shots and short/reverse shots and after this we went through a simple editing process using 'Imovie'. From this the prelim allowed us to practise these simple technique so that when it came to producing our psychological thriller we could use our creativity to our full potential.

When moving onto producing our opening to a psychological thriller we were creative in a whole range on different ways. We were creative in our planning stages, for instance we had to bring our ideas from paper into reality and from this being creative and enthusiastic was the only step forward. From this we produced storyboards, animatics, callsheets and recci shots to set the foundation for future work. After this the misc-en-scene was next creative box to be ticked off. We had to plan out many different locations that would fit the genre, for example a flower shops, dungeon tunnels and an examination room for the mentally ill.
